Why do so many poeple on here suck at English even though its their first language? I dont mean leaving at commas and not putting periods or capitals. I mean like huge mistakes that cause their questions to not make any sense at all. This isn't just young kids either. Many of them are adults. I know I skip some grammer from time to time because I am lazy, but some of this stuff is just stupid.
Is our education system lagging this badly?
Is there some sort of different explanation for this?

I am not talking about internet lingo. I am talking about completely butchering the entire question.

I agree with you 100%. It is so frustrating. English is my second language and I find that I have better grammar than many of the people on this website! The poor grammar and spelling make it difficult for me to answer their questions because I can't understand what they are trying to say.
It's really quite worry-some.
Best wishes.

ps. Nice picture.

Why do so many poeple (spelling error: people) on here suck (slang) at English even though its (missing apostrophe it's) their first language? I dont (missing apostrophe don't) mean leaving at commas and not putting periods or capitals. (verb object confusion) I mean like (not a simile) huge mistakes that cause their questions to not make (split infinitive) any sense at all. This isn't just young kids either. Many of them are adults. I know (missing pronoun: that) I skip some grammer (spelling error: grammar) from time to time because I am lazy, but some of this stuff is just stupid.
Is our education system lagging this badly? (Apparently)
Is there some sort of different explanation for this? (you just did, thanks)

All the internet lingo gets in the way. Personally I have a hard time with the lingo. I prefer to spell things out, but typing is what I do for a living too.

I would rather focus on the internet world we are living today. Wow, this is amazing. I am even on the computer this very second.
The core of technology usage is due to the fast, hectic lives people go through on a daily basis.

This leads to the shorting of words.

Example:
because= cuz

It is funny now, but wait until everyone on the planet can not spell because.

It is not the education system causing this (even though the Australian education system is quite poor) it is just chat speak and the internet lingo.
This lingo is filtering into the education though and it is becoming a second nature to us.
I agree with you 100% though, it is pathetic

How do you know English is their first language?
I do know what you are talking about, sometimes it is just a missed key stroke, but other times it is sleep deprivation and caffeine high. Oh yeah and public schools suck at trying to teach. (I went to them for K-12)
