that if you die with your eyes open you deserved it??

i think it means you died a quick painless death or something like that. i have heard somewhere that if a person is murdered and they saw their attacker that there is an impression that is left on the eye or something (not sure exactly how it goes......) but at any rate, i dont think it means you deserved to die.

Generally we all die with our eyes in the condition they were in when we die, if you were asleep closed, awake open. We should
only hope than when we die our eyes are truly open.

There is noting wrong with dying, to consider it a punishment. So, it is not true. We can not all be lucky and die sleeping.

In Islam when somebody dies eyse open that means he was looking at his soul while leaving his body.
