Katie...by not deworming your kitten you are ensure that she will die. Some worms cannot be detected in the feces/poop. There are microscopic ones only a trained medical professional can find. All cas are born with various types of internal parasites even if the mother has been vaccinated. A Veterinarian answered more about this. At 15 weeks if you do not take your kitten in soon, they could die as a result of the parasites.
Here's a website that talks about the different types of worms all cats carry: http://placervillevet.com/feline%20intestinal%20parasites.htm
If your kitten is carrying roundworms you can also catch these. Any vet can atest to this fact. http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/roundworms.html
By not taking your kitten into the vet you are only guaranteeing her fate of death. No amount of food is going to fatten up a kitten if they have worms or have not been tested for Feline Leukemia, by the way which is contagious to other cats

My first suggestion may sound like an odd one....deworming....it is possible the reason you cat is skinny is because of worms....buy some deworming liquid at the drug store, vet, grocery store, or walmart and mix it how the instructions say to in some wet canned cat food.
After the deworming make sure you throughly clean the litterbox.
Next I suggest going to a canned cat food diet for about a week. If the cat won't eat it mix in an egg into each meal...the extra flavor may just intice it to eat.
After a week start mixing in a high protein dry kitten food into the canned. Keep doing this until the cat is just the dry kitten food.
Allow the cat to eat the kitten food until its weight starts to pick back up. Once the weight has pick back up start mixing a high protein cat food into the kitten food. Keep this up until the cat is back on dry cat food.
How can you tell if the kitten or cat food is high protein....By looking at the ingredients. Pick a kitten or cat food that has an animal product....like chicken, lamb, goat, beef, pork, etc...as the first ingredient. Its even better if its the first two ingredients. Read the ingredients....even if the package says high protein it may not always really be high protein....soy proteins causing some cat intestinal discomfort then they don't eat....so if soy is within the first few ingredients don't get it.
I hope that helps. Remember patience is very important in this matter. If your cat's weight hasn't started to pick up within a couple of months something more serious could be the problem and a trip to the vet may be in order. Good luck.

I am assuming that the cat is under-nurished. You could try giving it some kitten food sice it usually has more calories in it. If you don't think your cat is under-nurished and you are just concerned because it just looks thin, don't worry so much. I have a cat that always looks like that, that is just it's body type. If you are sure that the cat is consuming enough food but still does not weigh enough, let a vet check it for worms. If everything looks normal and the kitten food does not have the desired effect, you could give the cat a little bit of boiled chichen fat mixed up in its food once in a while.

Is your cat thin or skinny? If your cat is thin, it could be lots of things. Age - how old is he/she? Kittens don't tend to reach full weight until adulthood, much like most humans. It could be breed. My cat Cleo eats everything that stands still (her food, the dog's food, table scraps) and she never seems to gain an ounce.
If your cat is skinny, he/she could be sick or have a parasite, maybe worms. save a sample of stool (yeah, I know ...gross) and take it to the vet to be tested and have him/her checked. If she isn't sick or infected, try giving her canned cat food every once in a while to stimulate her appetite. Also try rewarding her with moist kitty treats (higher fat content than dry ones) for being good. That's how I trained my kitties to use the post and not scratch the furniture.

Healthy Weight Gain Mix
This recipe is used to jump start dogs or cats that are thin or off their food. It works really well with moms in labor as well.
1 pint whole fat cottage cheese
1 lb turkey (or any other ground meat) burger (raw)
2 -3 eggs - boiled in the shell for 30 seconds*
2 tbls Flax Seed or Olive oil
1 can sardines or tuna fish
Dogs and most cats love it. It is full of protein, essential fatty acids and digestive enzymes. Great to add vitamin/mineral supplements to, as well as any medications you may need to give. For a toy dog or cat I would feed just a teaspoon or two and for a giant just a few tablespoons. Puppies can have it as early as their first solid food.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Canned mashed Mackerel (bones removed) is meaty, rich in protein for kittens & cats. Creamy instant mashed potatoes.

How old is you cat? If its young, try kitten food. Is your cat dewormed? If not, parasites can rob animals of nutrients.
Some cats are skinny. But if you feel bones, that might need vet attention. Bring your cat in anyway for and exam and advise.
Good luck!

Most likely it picked up parasites, from a flea, rodent, bird or anything else. Time to see the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment. You don't want to get them either, right?

You should take it to the vet to be tested for hyperthyroidism and diabetes. Both of these things can cause a cat to lose weight, and they are both life-threatening.
