Some interpretations of Revelation say that the faithful will be taken up before the Tribulation. However, the text does discuss the presence of a Church during the reign of the Antichrist. Revelation is ultimately a mystery about which there is much disagreement. If the prophecies of Revelation were to come true, it would probably be quite difficult to be a Christian and most would probably not survive. Revelation, however, should not be a book of fear but of joy. For whatever tribulations come (whether they be a metaphorical representation of our everyday sufferings or a literal endtimes) there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Revelation 21 depicts the building of Heaven and the ressurection of the believers. A Christian should not fear death.

Remember, it is not a literal mark. The mark consists of 3 sixes. Six is a man's number because man was created on the sixth day. Three is used in the Bible for emphasis. The location of the mark is also noteworthy. The hand represents the things you do. The forehead represents the thoughts you have. Putting that all together, if a person thinks that any human can solve his/her problems or acts as if he thinks that, he will be marked for destruction. How will a figurative mark which is visible only to angels keep a person from buying or selling?? It is possible that a simple business card size card would be sold/given to anyone who pledges allegiance to the country. Then, it would be illegal to sell the person anything without showing the card. As we know that God would not condone any such allegiance to anyone but himself, he would then mark a person if he decided to get this card (could take hundreds of different forms, but the essence of trusting human institutions, persons, etc. would have to be present.

I don't regularly practice religion, but when I was 11 years old or so, I watched these religious movies made in the 70s, and if during the rapture, someone had not saved themselves, they must sacrifice themselves for Jesus, or have the mark of the devil branded on them for 7 years of bliss, and then live an eternity in hell. I hope I'm remembering this correctly. It was about 15 years ago that I saw them. It scared me enough to want to save myself and get my friends and family to try to. It was actually a mild obsession for such a young age. Who knows if it's true. It's all about beleif, I suppose. Children under 6 I think are automatically saved. For any Christians that might be reading this....I'm sorry if you feel this is incorrect, it is just a memory of a movie I saw that I thought was supposed to be true.

If you have truly believed that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and was buried and took your sins away and rose again the third day for your justification. Then you have been placed in His body by the Holy Spirit the you will not be here when the mark of the beast handed out. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. The time period when the mark of the beast is being handed out is called Daniel's 70th week, the great tribulation period and Jacob's trouble. During this time the wrath of God is poured out on the earth. We have been promised that we (the church) will not be here when the wrath of God is poured. Romans 5: 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 1 Thessalonians 1: 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 5: 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, The Lord will appear in the cloud and we will be caught up to meet him in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The mark of the beast will be enforced when the United States passes a national Sunday Law. At that time the USA (the second beast of Revelation 13) will give it's power over to the Catholic Church (the first beast of Revelation 13), and anyone who violates the Sunday Sabbath (false though it is) will be forbidden to buy or sell, and eventually sentenced to death. But not to worry, if you keep the true Sabbath Day Holy (Saturday), and are sanctified by Christ in that you are sin free by His power, you will be saved.

I believe it is said that you should not receive the mark and as such even if you would die for sake of that act yet would you
live for all eternity. That is so beautiful an idea.

The Rapture should happen before then, but if you are left behind. You will need to reject the mark of the beast. By doing so, they will chop off your head, but it is the only way you will be able to go to heaven.
