Depends on how deep the injury is. The tatoo itself should go through several layers of skin, and the ink in in the pigmentation in your body part. If you burn that deeply, and need skin grafts, which would cause good scarring, it can make it "go away". A cut, on the otherhand, must be deep enough. Otherwise, it's there for life.

Yes the tattoo will still be there. depending on how deep & bad the cut is depends on the healing. A minor cut it will heal over and you shuldn't have any problems with the tattoo. Hopwever if you get cut deep enough and need stitches the tattoo may distort but not fade.

If the area is burned depending on how bad again if its a 1st degree burn you MAy have a minor scar above the tattoo, 2nd degree burns more scarring can occiur but the tattoo will still be there, however if you get a 3rd or 4th degree burn it is possible that the skin burn is deep enough to abliterate the tattoo however the scarring may hold some color but it will be so badly distorted.

I am hoping this is just a question please do not attempt any type of tattoo "removal" on your own, unless you are using the salt method it takes some time but it does work.

I think if you got skinned or badly burned it would go away, but I'm not sure.

You do know that there are procedures to remove tattoos that involve a lot less pain and permanent injury though, right?

To answer the above question, yes, I've gotten cuts on my tattoo, and when they heal it's still there. However, they aren't really deep, and didn't scar, so...

it won't go away if yu cut or burn it. and if you skin your self it would be a major way to get an infection. there is a process that can rmove you tattoo. one way is to go to a doctor and they will cover it up with a piece of your skin. the second option is to get it lasered off. you would go see the doctor about every three months or so to get the laser on the tattoo. for how long the lasering process is it depends on how much color and what kind of ink is in the tattoo. you should go with the lasering it is very successful.

I had skin dermabrasion done on several tattoos I had on my arms from stupidity in my earlier years. The deadened it, sprayed stuff on the area that froze it, (you could thump it & it sounded like wood), then he took a drill kinda like a drimmel tool and sanded it off. I watched him do the whole procedure.

After all that trouble you can still see them, he explained since they were done by hand the ink was all different depths so it would not all come out even or in one treatment, but I never went back. Now there is a big scar there like a bad burn and you can vaugly see the ink. People ask me how I got burned all the time.

a professional tattoo is under your skin. a cut or burn may cause some scarring but unless its a very deep injury the tat will still be there. if you want to get rid of a tat there are expensive laser procedures that mostly work, the laser removal feels like hot grease pouring over you

Tatoo ink is basically surgical ink, it goes pretty far beneath the layers of the skin because it's applied with needles. It's very hard to remove a tatoo and very painful from what I've read. I wouldn't say it's impossible but I think it would have to be a pretty bad burn or skinning of the skin to diminish the tatoo.

It depends on how deep the injury is. Surface skin, the tattoo will be ok. My cousin's husband had his ex wife's name on his arm and a 2x4 slipped off of something and took the middle of the name out, but it skinned him pretty deep where the parts of the name were gone.

You'd have to skin yourself pretty deep... tattoo ink goes wayyy past one layer of skin. So, I guess if the tattoo is that horrible, and your willing to go through all that pain... then...

i don't know. but i watched this show once where it talked about tatoos and it said the ink goes like 4 layers into your skin. so you would probably have to skin yourself pretty far down. which is probably as painful as getting the tatoo. but i really don't know. i have never gotten a tattoo and never plan to get one.
