A guy asked me what I would think of my tatoo on my back when I was eighty and saggy and I said "when I am eighty and saggy I wont be wearing revealing clothes and I probably won't give a sh** anymore anyway. I will be old and saggy with liver spots for cripes sake. A tatoo can't make that situation any worse."
As for what guys think. Who cares! I got it for myself. Not for any 'old fashioned men'.
As for people doing it for that fashion.... You have to have meaning for your tatoo. Mine is in memory of a lost pregnancy (no ones business how it was lost). When ever someone makes a snarky comment about it, I about kick them in the worthless balls. All those crappy butterfly lower back tatoos everyone gets, now those are embarrasing.

well, i'm a woman with tattoos and i love them. my husband loves them too. and i have quite a few friends that are girls that have tattoos as well and some guys like them some don't. some of my guy friends would never date a girl WITHOUT tattoos. but i didn't get my tattoos because i cared if someone else liked them or not. i got them for me.
and when i'm 80 and wrinkly and saggy... i'm pretty sure i wouldn't look sexy whether i had tattoos or not so i'm not real worried about it. plus roughly 20 percent of all the other old people will have tattoos as well.

I have 5, my father has many, my mother has two. they got theirs later in life, I got mine younger, but they all have meaning. They aren't just some stupid night. I personally don't care what other people think, they're mine and I got them for me. people are often shocked to learn I have them, as I'm not the "type" of girl that should have them. However, I am a speech language pathologist at a preschool, no parent has ever complained, and the other SLP also has a couple. Do it for you and don't give a crap about what other people think, if you are too concerned with what someone else might think about it likely you're not sure that you really want one.

I have dated more than a few guys that won't date women with tattoos PERIOD! BUT I have never met a guy that won't date a girl WITHOUT tattoos - so, if you are going to keep your options open I would say it is a no brainer to go without. As a matter of fact it might make it sort of fun to paly a joke on a freind/family member later to get a temp tattoo just to get people fired up. I put on a "decal" tattoo one time and just about everybody noticed and it was SMALL. I had to explain it to a couple of clients 'cause I think they found it unprofessional.

My husband loves all 3 of my tattoos, but then again they are small, easy to cover up, and are very meaningful to me.
In my opinion people who get them because they think they look sexy and think tattoos are the thing to do just because, are the people who look foolish. I can't stand looking at tattoos that are all over a persons body and there is no way to cover them up. I also can't stand looking at girls that have tattoos on their arms, it looks a little trashy.
Tattoos should have a meaning and a meaning that will last forever, not your first true loves name because you think you'll be together forever. In fact names of boyfriends/girlfriends are really dumb to get because chances are you won't be together forever. Johnny Depp learned that one the hard way, when he was dating Winona Ryder he got a tattoo that said "Winona Forever" it now says 'Wino Forever".

A small, discreet one is ok, but those giant colorful ones are pretty distracting and detracting from the person. That's just my choice, and I don't really mind seeing them on somebody, but I wouldn't want them on my wife or daughter.

I hate tattoo's on anyone. It looks disgusting when you're older, and your skin sags.
I suggest if someone wants a tattoo, they go the henna route. It's temporary, yet lasts weeks, and beautiful.
your skin is a canvas, but why create art that will malform after time? Create new art as often as you can.

I say if u want a tattoo u should get it, don't do it or not do it for another person or what another person thinks.
If a person truly likes u it is for u not for what u do or do not have on your skin.

i think some look really trashy but some look really cute.
it depends on the size, picture and location
i like the ones on the lower back that kinda poke out the back of our jeans.
i would consider geting one of those.
it would be a kitten or a bug or somthing swirley and cute
