i feel you can live happily wherever you want..but i feel the problem in latin american countries is the U.S. goverment is slapping you to keep your economics down, which makes it impossible to fix anything,,,so my suggestion to "fix your country" as you say...vote for political figures in your country that is for the people, improving, living and economics.
don't allow big business to come into your country and pay poor wages.
people come to the states to get money for there families, and i feel there is nothing wrong with this..who is to say who can live here and who can't, we all came from somewhere else also.
but to sum it up..start with your own goverment, they have to make the first step in making the changes. its inhuman to pay someone 2.00 an hour and think it is enough to support a family...people need to wake up and look at the big picture...the very people who are telling latin people not to come into the states are the very people making the problem , or the general population is just uneducated as to what is going on.

Start with voting. Put decisions that were previously made by somebody's uncles' brothers' cousin that owns an oil well in the hands of the Citizens, on a ballot. Majority rule, not the 'golden rule'.... get people to be involved in their states and regions, and city councils. Fight corruption. Don't let violent and wealthy people usurp the lawful authority vested in your elected officials. Read. Read a LOT. Make public improvements. Put out a call for volunteers to help build the needed infrastructure that will help provide for the needs of your citizens. Clean stuff up. Clean up the graffiti, fix the broken windows, feed the poor, build housing, encourage people to start businesses. Get the economy going. Fight crime, have good borders, and always be on the lookout for good ideas.
If you can do all of those, you'll be well on your way, I think...

Depends on the problems of each inidvidual country. There are many countries in which illegals come from. But if we we're to use as an example the majority of the problem(Mexico), we could start to work on the following list of problems (though this list is by no means complete).
1) Police and government corruption, which is a factor in several other problems like the economy and the war on drugs.
2) Sanitation and appropriate housing for all citizens
3) A drastic in crime and unsolved crimes
4) Unemployment
Number one is probably going to take alot of help from the U.S(and I am not talking about invading Mexico), and this is the best way to help Mexico help itself, not by siphoning population to ourselves. The government and the people of Mexico are going to need to be committed to creating a first world lifestyle for all citizens. This includes sanitation and housing, which also creates jobs for people. Unfortunately, it is so much easier to let their poor come here, rather than help their own. Number three applies to especially border cities. Many people leave Juarez for nearby El Paso because it is simply not safe to raise a family in Juarez. Ending corruption and cooperating with the U.S to stop the drug trade will help alot here. Mexico has an unemployment rate of 40%, yet it is a wealthy nation, rich in resources(which include oil). Roughly 80% of Mexico's natural resources remain undeveloped. Among those include oil, gold, silver, and much more. Tourism is also very big business in Mexico. By working with and developing their resources, they can create jobs. Incentives, curbing inflation, and furthering education for all citizens is another way to help the economy. And the U.S should help them help themselves. A good neighbor lends a hand to help you rebuild your house in your time of need, also money, clothes, etc if you need it. But you don't get to move in, take advantage of that person's hospitality and never leave. The U.S should see that helping Mexico become more economically strong helps many other countries, including ourselves. But they aren't going to WANT to help themselves if they can come over here at will, without fear we will enforce our laws.

I Think The Reference To " Fix " Was Aimed Mostly At Mexico
At Least The 100 Times I've Seen It
And The Several Times I've Posted It
To " Fix " Mexico
The Castillian Ruling Class Must Be Overthrown
So The Feudal Economy
Can Be Modernized To Benefit The Citizens
The Wealth Of Mexico Must Be Redistributed
And A Solid Social Infrastructure Formed
(Health, Education, And Welfare)
So Industry Can Grow
Anybody Ever Heard Of The Industrial Revolution ??
That Is EXACTLY What Mexico Needs
But For That To Happen
Mexico Must RETAIN Its Labor Resources
Mexicos New Leaders
Must Have Their Nations Best Interest At Heart
Including And Especially The Welfare Of Her Citizens
More should be asked of Mexico:
She should be shouldering responsibilities
towards her citizens
proportional to Her status in the world.
Mexico's weak public education system
condemns workers to low salaries
in a global economy where skills count.
Decades of systemic government corruption
have robbed the poorest of everything
from high school scholarships to subsidized milk.
The broken banking system hands out little credit --
people without the cash
to buy a house or start a small business
must often do without.
Mexico's inability to enforce the rule of law
also discourages the investment needed to create jobs.
The truth is that Mexico is a very wealthy country.
It is blessed with abundant natural resources
and a fortunate location.
Mexico is the richest nation in Latin America
when measured by GDP,
and by a wide margin :
in 2001, Mexico's GDP was the highest in Latin America,
a substantial 22.5 percent more than runner-up Brazil.
When GDP per capita is the gauge,
Mexico is second only behind Argentina. (In Latin America)
On The World Stage
Mexico’s per capita GDP is roughly that of Russia’s
and greater than that of soon-to-be EU members
Bulgaria and Romania.
In 2003
Mexico was the world’s fifth-largest oil producer,
its 9th- largest oil exporter,
and the third-largest supplier of oil to the United States.
Oil and gas revenues provide about one-third
of all Mexican Government revenues.
Investment would cost money.
And Mexico refuses to take responsibility
for the social needs of its population.
It's so much easier
to let the Americans care for Mexico's poor.
But, In fact,
increasing the number of Mexicans
working illegally in the United States
is among Mexico's highest foreign policy objectives.
Indeed, the Mexican propaganda war
to convince Americans
of the need to support poor Mexico
has been largely successful.
Mexico's propaganda effort is helped enormously
by the annual carnage of unprepared walkers
who die in the desert as they illegally cross into the U.S.
Mexico would prefer that all its excess workers
could cross an unenforced border
to keep remittance dollars flowing.
All Totalled About 39 Billion Untaxed US Dollars
Are Being Exported To Mexico Annually
Providing Mexico
With Her 2nd Largest Source Of Income
In effect,
they are LOOTING the Treasury of the United States
as surely as if they went to Fort Knox
and loaded up all our gold bullion on trucks
and drove to Tijuana with it.
The expanding power
of lawless elements in Mexican society,
(e.g. narco-traffickers)
must be recognized as a security threat -
particularly with recent reports
of connections between Mexican drug cartels
and terrorists, including al Qaeda.
Border control is now critical to national security.
There's no reason why Mexico cannot evolve
from being a parasite state
into an adult nation.

If any immigrant latino or otherwise could "fix the country" they were immigrating from NO ONE would live in this country other than Native Americans. Every immigrant left their homeland because of issues with the country they came from. The US is supposed to be a place which gives immigrants a new start and freedom. Why would immigrants come here and leave their families behind if they could "fix the country" they came from?? They can't which is why they come here to create a new life for themselves.

Good question. Most of the time people want us to stay out of their countries and out of the business except for the annual foreign aid check.
Those people in third world countries who want to make their countries a better place for everyone need to organize. America is full of organizations such as AARP, Sierra Club, National Rifle Association, Eagle Forum, Minutemen, even the older women have the Red Hat Society. When people organize with a common agenda, they become powerful.

Yes, band togather, you can not do it one on one, If you band togather in the numbers that have run from Mexico, just think what you could do. Be the same Mexico that beat the french. Yes its sad when you have the richest country in Latin America, and the 13 th richest in the world, and 46 % are poor, but just think of what those 46 % could do.

Seriously only Mexicans can truly answer that, because its your country (not mine). I think Iraq has taught the world already how dictating to people how to reform isnt that much of a great idea.
But since you asked, supporting progressive political parties and programs and being a good citizen of Mexico I guess is the best way to start.

the way you as a guy or woman analyses issues and how you notice the international would desire to probably not be the way the international sees you. issues wander off in interpretations and we carry upon ourselve undesirable destiny. The issues you assert approximately your self have a substantial result. The self it is you perhaps over inflated in the eyes of a similar self yet in the eyes of the wider society it would desire to be something else. maximum individuals do not love themselve how can they love all of us a similar way..the flexibility is vacant. All boils all the way down to detrimental thinking and you're what you think of.

I think if they insist on staying here that they should pay DOUBLE taxes so that they make up for all the time and for all the things they have used from here.
Make them pay double taxes for a while and they will be wanting to go back.
