My friend, we'll call her, Julie, is in a pickle. Okay, she was friends with this couple who were dating, but more so friends with the guy than the girl. We'll call the girl Hannah and the guy Richard. Hannah and Richard broke up. Richard started calling Julie to hang out and they became close. They started sleeping together. Their relationship didn't grow and they ended up ending whatever it was they had going on....but they stayed friends. Well Hannah found out about this, and texted Julie saying " Why didn't you tell me you were f*cking Richard?" Should Julie feel guilty about this situation?? I told her no because Hannah and Richard broke up and Hannah and Julie weren't that close of friends. Give me your honest opinions!!

Okay, due to the popular question in all the responses, I felt the need to add more detail...
It was about five months before Julie and Richard hooked up after Richard and Hannah broke up.

How long ago did Hannah and Richard break up? If Julie started sleeping with Richard soon after he broke up with Hannah,(like, less than a month) then of course she would be upset. Even if she wasn't that great of friends with Hannah, it's kind of insulting to her to sleep with her exboyfriend. Hannah has a right to be pissed, and Julie should think twice about sleeping with a guy that she isn't in an actual relationship with. I bet if she was actually dating Richard, Hannah wouldn't be as angry about it. She probably thinks that Julie broke up her relationship with Richard. I think Julie should feel bad about what she did, but it's not a huge deal, as long as she didn't sleep with him while he was still with Hannah.

Well overall she shouldn't be upset because he was completely faithful when they were together and just friends with Julie but if I was in Hannah's position I would feel betrayed because I would have thought Julie was my friend (or somewhat of a friend) at one point. I would have thought Julie was just waiting for me to break up with Richard. If they are still broken up then Julie shouldn't worry about it and remain his friend.

Tell Julie that she did nothing wrong. The couple was broken up by something other than her. Before any hanky panky happened! Julie is a good person and Hannah is just a hating B.

i think.
hannah should butt her *** out of richards business since they broke up.
she doesn't control him and she needs to worry about her own life not his.
they did break up for watever reason. and so Julie. doesn;t need to feel guilty because really. hannah wats her face is a total stranger. and richard is free to sleep with whom ever. unless hannah is jealous.. then thats a whole different story but. in a way.
julie should still respect the fact that they had just recently broken up. she;s not offering to be his gf just offering a fling.
a guy has needs.. and girls do too.

For all the Julies in the world... There is NO future to a man who is in a relationship. Theres some places a girl shouldnt go. With another girls man is at the top of the list. Treat others as you would want them to treat you.

I agree with you. They broke up. She has lost that friend. First rule of friendship is you don't date someone your friend did. It causes harbored feelings. Trust me I date a guy my friend dated first she still has resentment towards me for it. Even tho it was years later it was her man first. You just avoid that situation b/c you can't keep that friend. Then you always wonder about their relationship and if you were doing the right thing. You still know what that friend had to say about him.

Hannah needs to grow up! What business is it of hers who her ex is sleeping with? Ignore her eventually she'll get over it and move on. You don't need to justify yourself to her, that just makes you look guilty of something. Good luck.

The phone call is so stupid unacceptable. Total disaster in any communications. And any reason to comments. Very low personality.
