The old Roman Empire became a Catholic Empire while the new Byzantine Empire became an Orthodox Empire.
The Italians and Irish were Catholic - both groups came in greater numbers than the Orthodox.
The Hispanics are mostly Catholic.
Those who settled America were Protestants, Anglicans, Amish and others.

We are more bible oriented as believers. Europe's christianity has been deluted to non-christianity because of 'foreign' gods.
