I'm newly divorced and dating a great guy (at least he seems great after five dates) We met 2 month ago through http://bbwworld.active.ws/ Things seem to be progressing so quickly ? I'm excited but also wary. He has a daughter, and he wants me and my son to go to a movie with him and his daughter, but I'm not sure if it's too soon to introduce him to my son. I'm afraid my son will think I'm trying to replace his father. Help!

The best time to introduce someone to your child is when the relationship is very serious and leading to marriage. Single parents often introduce their special someone to their child without realizing the repercussions. Your son might get used to this guy being around and develop a relationship with him. Later on you may decide that he isn't the right man for you, leaving your son with some serious abandonment issues. It's only been 2 months and you really don't know this man too well. Think about your son and not about how much you want to have a family again. Believe me when I tell you that you are making the right choice if you decide to wait.

I would make sure this guy could be a serious prospect. You don't want to introduce your son to him and then it not work out. It confuses kids on both ends.

Too soon.........and factor in the fact that the two of you may not be a good fit....your son may carry that burden with him.....
