okay most of you will laugh at me im laughing at myself but i really really like this guy and we know eachother really well and everything and we're about to go out but he spells my name wrong...like its a weird-ish name and everyone spells it like that but i dont know how to tell him...i cant just come out and say it we would both be soo embarrassed and its even in my msn namee gahh what do i do!

unless you are going to marry this guy, it really doesn't matter , does it? it sounds like you are lucky he pronounces it right!

well...in order to have a relationship, he should probably have some kind of idea how to spell your name...and if you ever get into a relationship with him, you will be talking about a lot of things, like you hopes and ideas and possibly even sex. in order to have a mature realationship you need to be able to talk to him, right? so if you can tell him how to spell your name, youll be taking a step closer to being ready for a relationship with him, or someone else. if you dont feel comfortable with running up to him and saying "THIS IS HOW MY NAME IS SPELLED!", make a game into it. the next time he spells your name wrong, you can say in a flirty way, "i need to give you a lesson in name spelling" and take his hand or something cute and guide his hand in writing your name the right way...then quiz him on it or something...
maybe its a lame idea...but you catch my drift.

sometimes its really hard when your name is different and people see how other people spell it too, its not embarassing to correct him you are proud of your name jsut nicely tell him hey my name is spelled ...... kind of hard i know a bit different but its what makes me don't make a huge deal out of it. it may be a small matter now, but larger matters could approach in any relationship and start out honest and not scared to talk about anything.

Cute. Ive been telling people how to spell my name all of my life. Even my Dad who cursed me with an eccentric spelling can't spell it! Just say so........ "Let me tell you how my name is spelled K-r-i-s-t-i-e" Not "Ch" and not "Y"
