Has anyone ever applied for scholarships to pay for college?

If so what was the outcome? I am just asking because I am applying to several and this is my first time doing this.

write a good essay, tailor each essay to each specific scholarship you're going for, and apply to as many as you can. The wider the net, the better chances of landing a scholarship. talk to your professors and counselor.
