egg yolks are used to neutralize some wine by-products that float in the barrel.
Nuts are for correcting the acidity in extremely acidic or tangy wines, but this is not the normal case.

If you are making wine yourself, make sure you know what you are doing before you add any of these.

Eggs in Wine? What kind of wine are you drinking? I have NEVER heard of eggs in wine never heard of nuts in wine either.

not too sure about the nuts, but egg whites (and soemtimes fish products, were used often to clarify the wine i.e. remove sediment and remnants of yeast from fermentation. now they use vegetable products almost everywhere.

They are not used in wine. Not any that I've seen made, anyhow.

i don't know what kindof wine you are making but i never heard that and i make a berrel of wine each year .
