You have to take him to a Vet. You can do nothing for parvo, that can and will kill him, even some cannot be saved. Why do you think he already had a shot for parvo? If he did in time, he would not have it. After they get it, there is no shot for it. A vet will have to administer treatment for your dog, with no guarantees, before it can get better. Parvo is a disease that affects puppies that have not had their shots on time. Ask you Vet!!! Waste no time. Your puppy has no time left, do it yesterday!!!

So are you saying your vet gave the dog a parvo innoculation
or are you saying that this vet diagnosed your dog with parvo, gave some sort of shot & sent you home with no further instructions?
If the vet properly diagnosed parvo & didn't choose to keep the puppy on an IV, and especially didn't give you instruction on home-care, then I would GO TO ANOTHER VET IMMEDIATELY!!!
While you figure it out, please give the puppy as much un-flavored pediate as he/she will drink :)

Parvo is a very serious virus. It will take more than one shot to see an improvement in your dog. Treatment requires inhospitilization treatment. Carry your dog back to the vet for proper treatment. And DO NOT take the advice on giving him bleach. Bleach is toxic.

I would find a different vet to take your puppy to for treatment. Parvo requires IV to hydrate them for a couple of days as well as meds. They should not have sent you home with just a shot.

my puppy had parvo and the vet kept him in hospital for 4 or 5 days with IV .didn't know if he would make it or not but thank goodness he did.The vet bill was pretty hefty but it saved Luckys life.he got his name because he was lucky to be alive.the vet had 5 other dogs with parvo and lucky was the only one that made it.I hope everything works out for you and your puppy.Good Luck

Sweetie, they should have told you that he needs lots of care, and what to do for him. You need to make sure he's getting lots of fluids. Get a baby's medicine shooter and squirt Pedialyte water into his mouth. You need to do that every hour all night long.
Puppies that don't stay at the hospital to recover from Parvo rarely make it. You and your family have to work hard to pull him through this.
He is very sick!!! He's gonna cry and want attention. Don't you want your mommy when you're sick?
