Duelling is a romantic notion but sadly an outdated concept.
Today, everything has to be now or 5 minutes ago - hence guns and knives as a means of inflicting pain - with little honour and no agreed time and location, the pistols at dawn pish!!
Men have recently started taking back their honour by inflicting pain on children , see the news - drowning, thrown off a balcony, suffocated, poisoned, drugged, smothered - we have gone to another level and it is a level below humanity and it is based on hurting the Woman who took the mans honour,
So I guess the term Mankind is a bit of a contradiction
Would I fight for my honour and anothers YES but I only fight to WIN so no Marquess of Queensbury rules for me
