This may be odd. But when I was carrying my thick book to the washroom. I unzipped my zipper to urinate. When I did urinate, I accidentally dropped my book which then touched the toilet bowl (middle part especially ex. ( ) ) and touched the ground. Mind you, I was half a sleep, I couldn't even think about what I was doing. So what I did was, I picked my book up and rinsed my fingers with water. About 1 - 5 seconds. But forgot to use the soap.

I then ate some baked potato chips which was orange (all dressed chips to be exact). They were huge. I ate them with the same fingers from when I picked up the book from the ground area of the toilet.

Now I am very worried if I did or did not catch it?

When does AIDS die in an environment?

FYI: there were some drops of urine, but not noticeable when I did look at the pages where it touched the book. Actually, there was not any urine on the book.

You can rest easy. There is no way you caught the virus that causes AIDS from the contact you just described. While the virus is certainly present in bodily fluids, you aren't really at risk from a little urine on a toilet, which might or might not have come from someone infected with the virus. The AIDS virus does not live long in the environment, and can't survive on surfaces.

If you use intravenous drugs (with needles, particularly dirty ones), have unprotected sex (i.e. sex without a condom), or have multiple sexual partners - then you need to start worrying.

Well im not exactly an expert in this area but I dont think its likely. Im pretty sure that when not in a host, it dies out pretty quickly. Also the bathrooms are cleaned daily (or should be) It is possible to get some STD's from the bathroom but its very rare and everything has to be just right (and once again, dies out pretty quickly). I very much doubt you got anything. Personally, I wouldnt worry about it but if it keeps bothering you so much then just get a check up just in case. Also me friend once liked ranch dressing off the toilet seat in a dare (totally disgusting, I know!) and she is fine.

I watched a show where they tested a toilet and an office desk for germs and the desk have double the amount of germs that the toilet did because of the fact that a toilet gets cleaned...whether it be once a week or twice a month, but can you remember the last time that you sanitized your desk? Just a little info for you...

I consider ok f, only permit it dry for fairly a whilst in a heat room. as long as you took each thing aside and have been given it out of the rest room precise away, you will be high-quality. I had a telephone fall interior the snow for 3 days at as quickly as. I introduced it interior when I discovered it, permit it dry, and it worked only high-quality.

No, you can't get AIDS like that. You get it through unprotected sex and body fluids which touch a broken area of the skin, like a scratch. Or through a dirty needle.
