can some coughing in dog as young as 6 month be due to dieases?

If it happens often, it could be Kennel cough. The vet can give him some pills to clear it up. If it is just occasional, it could just be hair or something in their throat bothering them.

Where did you get your dog? Some dogs need a shot before they go to a kennel, kennel shot.Another thing you might want to check is for heart worms, if hes never been checked.If he does that just after he drinks sometime it cause they drink too fast. Talk to your vet. I hope everything is ok.

Could be a piece of dust in his throat too.
If your dog is coughing a lot, take him to the vet. It could just be a cold.

It could be due to a lot of things. I hope you have talked to your vet and made sure you are up to date on your shots.
It could be something as simple as he eats too fast. If it has been going on regularly for a while and has not changed, it might be a good idea to talk to a vet anyway.

If vaccinations are current have vet check his heart....
