Go head and give the kitten as a gift I think he'll enjoy it better if your kids think it's ugly!

Where did you get the kittens from? Why would you get 2 if you wanted 1? Why is the kitten ugly?
IF her husband REALLY wants the "ugly" one then by all means give it to him. He will get the cat fixed and vaccinated won't he?
Unless your dead set on keeping the "ugly" one.
Who does your 2 year old cat get along better with?
Your friend is obviously a good "mom" to her cats. They are still alive at their advanced ages.
Good luck with your kitty's!

Since you really only wanted one , I would give it to your friend . Her cats are old and I'm sure it would be nice for her to have a new younger cat around when the others start to go. I have four cats and I'm not really a cat person , I just felt bad for them and took them out of an animal hospital. I would love just haveing one but now i'm too far involved to get rid of them. One cat is enuf, your children will understand.

I think when she said she wanted a new kitten and her husband loves that one, she was hinting that she wanted it. It would be a nice gift to give her, and she might love you all the more for it, but don't hold it against her. You can even do it anonomously, even though she'll know who it is from, you can leave it on her doorstep with a not saying "HAPPY THANKSGIVING, to a great friend" and that would be a nice surprise. Whatever you do, it is up to you. Good Luck and Congratulations!

If your children truly are already attatched, then I would offer to go with her to a shelter and get her a kitten as a gift. If your children are not truly attatched and your older cat gets along with the remaining kitten, then it would be a very loving gesture to offer the "ugly" kitten to your friend - especially since she does not seem to mind it's looks.

YES, I think u should give the kitten to her as a gift, she will love it and so will her husband. Also, u did mention that you really only wanted 1 kitten.

U guys just have to discriminate ugliness in cats huh?
Kittens r better in pairs so their kittenhood wun be a lonely one. trust me.
But then again since ur kids think tt one is ugly n wouldnt appreciate it that much...then it's better to give it to someone who adores it despite its ugliness. period.

I think you schould ask your friend if she really wants it and if she does give it to her then explain to your kids that you already have to cats and if your friend says it ok that they can visit the other one

i think you should ask if she wants the kitten. then you'll just have to explain to your kids that you couldn't keep it. if your friend doesn't want it then you don't have a problem.

I'll take the ugly one. E-mail me. It can replace my ugly ex-wife.
