I want to paint my living/dining/kitchen open space with very bold colors. I do not have the time to sand the spackling off the ceiling to have a smooth finish to paint. Can you and does it look ok to paint a stippled ceiling a color other than white?

Yes! We went through the same dilemma. Finally, we just painted it and it looks great... way better than the white it had been for so many years. It looked a little bold at first but once the walls were painted too it looks awesome. I cant believe we waited so long to do it!

Of course you can! Just picture it - check out the website (below). You can pick out colors for walls, ceilings & trim and see if they compliment each other (or not). Lighting and ceiling height is important when choosing colors - especially for the ceiling. A darker shade can make the room seem smaller. Most colored ceilings I've seen are a lighter shade of the wall color. Have fun with it!
