Probably a smaller town with kids that will be about the child's age when school begins so that the child will have some one to associate with and yet not so crowded that neither of you should have to worry about the rising crime rate that a medium to large sized city has.

Frankfort, IN.......I came from Los Angeles in '92, settled in Indianapolis with my parents and when I was 19 (1999) I moved to Franktucky as we say, it's a small town with old fashion values with fun things do to and excellent places to work and population of about 25,000. Go for the smaller towns.

It really depends on what you are looking for in a community for your family. If you like museums and art centers, concerts, more urban type lifestyle than a rural area may not be for you. Do you want your kids to grow up in a simple life, then try a rural place anywhere. My favorite places that I have lived with our children are Italy, Utah

Ft. Colins has recently been rated the best town in the US by several sources, but it really depends on what you think is important.

I guess it depends what country you live in.... doesnt it??
Austria? Argentina? Australia?
I generally think its better to raise kids in the country than in big cities.. but to name a specific town would be impossible....

Wherever you have the most family and support. The more people around to love your child, the better off your child will be.
