Dogs are very receptive to change and like children will act up when they sense change. I'd suggest going back to the basics-Crate Training. Dog won't pee where he has to lie down. This will not only provide a secure (unmolested by change) place for puppy but will also discourage the free pee behavior. Good luck with the dog and congrats on the baby.

Hi there. First thing your being pregnant has nothing to do with your dog peeing in the house, unless your unable to attend to his needs like you had been. Are you a stay at home person? If you are this is great. What you need to do is put doggie out as soon as he wakes up, eats, drinks, or plays. Also, try taking him for short walks during the day if you are there. If your not, an evening stroll would be great for him. Have you thought about crate/kennel training him. No matter the age, it's not too late.

If you would really like to consider kenneling, please email me at - korpuskristi@yahoo.com I will be more than happy to help you with this. My one Rottie and English Mastiff are kenneled while we are at work. You will be happy you did this.

Good luck and take care.

that very well could be. Dogs do sense that there is a change in the household. Whether it be hormones or emotion or physical changes. Are they little spots? Could he be marking his place? You can tell if they are marking their place if it's just a little drizzle maybe 2 little squirts. I would say call your vet and ask her if she suggests a pee spray that will guard your dog from peeing on things. Other than that I could only assume that your dog needs to be taken out more often. Good luck and congrats!!

when your dogs pee on things don't clean it up right away take your dogs to the spot they peed on and stick their noses in it my aunt says it keeps them from doing it again and if that doesn't work then the next time they pee on somethin hit them on the nose with a news paper it shows them dicipline.

Buy puppy pads. They're coated with like pheramones or something like that. I used them on my dog. They work great. You probably have heard of them.

no you should get something that he can pee on and put it outside so that he keeps on going there to pee so his scent is there he should keep on going in the same spot.
