gas is usually from eating lower quality foods, such as those in grocery stores or Wal mart.. these foods typically use alot of filler and have very little nutrition
they also increase their fat to give your pet a shiney coat (fooling niave owners into thinking their pet is eating good food)
the fat and the crappy fillers cause gas...
if you go to a pet supply store and read lables on foods you can select a better food which will be gentler on the tummy and you wont have gas
look for YUCCA as an added ingredient to control odor
by-products are bad
corn should NEVER be first or second ingredient
chicken, turkey, and lamb are gentlest on the tummy
MILK is BAD....
feeding a better food will mean your cat will eat less, poop less and be healthier...

It's possible your kitten could be allergic to the food you're feeding or a particular ingredient in the food. You should take him/her to your vet to help rule out any other possibilities. If they think it's an allergy then you should gradually switch foods by mixing the new in with the old.

It's probably your kittens diet. If it continues I would think about slowly changing her diet to something else and see if it makes a difference. It might only be one ingredient in the food that her digestive system can't take at this time. If she is on a high quality food then slowly switch her to another high quality kitten food. if she is on a medium range kitten food, then I would (again do it slowly) switch her to high quality food and see what happens.

Good luck!

It's eating too much, that's all. You must have started over-filling his bowl with food. Start putting less in the food bowl every week until your cat smells normal again. Don't forget to bath it often. I mean WAY LESS than a every two months to take bath schedule. I mean bath it every week, twice a week sometimes. Just don't let it have a wet only bath. You wet, soap, then wet and dry. That is the correct way.

It's probably because of the food he is eating. I changed my cat's food to Royal Canin and it didn't happen anymore.
