I had a blown door speaker in my 94 Camaro, so I went and bought some Sony 4-ways. I put them in and the side that was blown worked fine, but when I hooked up the otehr side it didn't work so I turned up the volume to see if the other side still worked. As I turned it up I could hear that it was working but after only a second or so there was a faint pop and now neither of them work. The radio still works, so I don't think it's a fuse. Any help?

Deck is a Kenwood 200Wx4, while the speakers are 200W apiece. In the back is a Kenwood 1000W amp with a Kenwood 12" Sub. Today on the way to school, the speaker that worked would kick on and off. It seemed to work better with the volume down low, but it worked sometimes with it up high. My rear Kenwood speakers (6x9 in the rear panels) work fine.

You might have the amplified system, if that's the case the amps might be bad. Take your car to Circuit City or a local dealer and have them check it out, they should be able to tell you if its the amps (should only cost 20-30). Hope this helps and hopefully its not the amps.

From what you are saying it sounds like your radio is putting out too much power. Sony aren't the best type of speaker. If you want it done right you should go Ciruit City or Best Buy and get a new deck (CD/radio). I would say Alpine or Pioneer. Then get speaker to match the wattage of the deck.
