it doesn't matter if it's a gay or straight relationship. jealousy usually morphs into something worse. my ex was (still is) a jealous person. she had no reason to be. she was also a control freak (and also a liar. and critical). this makes for a very stressful relationship for anyone. and chipped away at my self-esteem until I was depressed and I gained weight and endangered my physical as well as mental health. I had to end things for my own sanity. I'm in a very happy relationship now.
if you are a good friend, you can talk to him about your concerns. tell him how much you care and want him to be happy....there is someone better out there for him.

Yes, he should. It doesn't matter if your friend is gay or straight, sexual orientation shouldn't matter at all....especially in a situation like this. You should ask your friend what he's getting out of the relationship and if all his boyfriend is doing is making him miserable, then he needs to break up with him. It may be really hard for him, but I'm sure, in the end, he'll be okay and happy that he took your advice!

Yes, having a super jealous boyfriend is a problem. But he should do it in a kind way and at least they can be just friends.

Well, he might have a reason to be really jealous or he's just a lunatic. Either way it's probably best to end it because that kind of behaviour is stressful and explosive to say the least.

Violence is not reserved for heterosexual relationships. Your friend's friend could, very easily, get violent, if the jealousy gets worse. I think, if talking with him about it doesn't help, he should definitely get away from the guy.

You should never stay in a relationship that is making you unhappy. It is not worth the stress, good relationships are hard enough.

Why is the boyfriend so scared of you. Perhaps your friend isn't as gay as he may seem.......

is it because of you?
well the decision should be made on his behalf. I think he might be doing this for himself, his own good. and i also think he is a great friend if he is willing to let go of his date for you. Take care =)
