I would check with a vet. Not sure, but if you can get a heat light as well.

Small dogs should only be out long enough to do their duty then back i n the house .After about 40 maybe 35 degrees f a small dog should be brought into the houseunless real sunny but definitely brought in at nite as they dont have enought insulation or meat on them to keep warm

I would be bringing the dog in if the temps drop below freezing, or the wind chill makes it feel that cold. But this also depends on if the dog house has any kind of heating, which means you could do a lower temp safely as the dog has a warm place to retreat when too cold.

if you have a cockapoo, this is a dog that shouldn't be left outside regardless of whether you have an insulated dog house or not. They are not equipped with a coat that will keep them warm outside regardless of the type of dog house you have. They are also people dogs and want to be with their families. If you wanted an outside dog, you really should have looked into one of the Northern breeds like a Husky.

That said, if you still leave want to leave your dog outside...If it's too cold for you to be outside, then it's too cold for your cockapoo to be left outside.

Sorry I know that's not what you want to hear and you should also take into consideration the age and health of your dog.

Well think about it.. If you don't want to be outside in the weather neither does the dog..
Dog houses are great.. but it still gets really cold in there. I keep mine in the house.. i figured if i didn't want to be out there neither do my animals.
What do you have on the floor of the dog house.. ? Straw works really well. and keeps the cold from coming up off of the floor to them too.
dogs like to run out there for a while. but as to just keeping them out there i don't.
they will let you know when they need to go out to potty.
have a good day

Watch him when you are out with him. When he starts to shiver then he is getting too cold. Take him in.
