That's a good question, and further to that, what is he doing now -- other than willingly watching the world go to ruin? (And please don't start on that stuff about the fulfillment of prophecy, etc.)

Jesus was nowhere in the earth and heavens before his birth. Nor he had any knowledge about his own self or about his Creator. Then, on a particular day, he took birth and began to receive the blessings of the Lord.
God was never incomplete or imperfect at all. Nor one can, even think like that__ as that is totally against the concept of Monotheism. God was Holy, God is Holy and God will remain Holy. And, no one is god beside God, nor Adam, nor Jesus, nor anyone else of the mankind.

God gave life to Jesus through God’s commandment as God___ not as father. Before Jesus, God had given life to Adam without father and mother, the both. Jesus and Adam are signs of God’s unique creativity__ and that is all. No more or no less__ are the meanings of their birth at all.
Prior to Jesus, the Lord had created Eve, without mother__ and Adam, without mother and father, the both. Afterwards, the Lord created Jesus without father. So the creation of Jesus, without father, is the third instance of the Lord’s all-encompassing creativity___ which is free from all the channels or systems of the birth. Instead, all the channels or systems of the birth are subservient to the all-encompassing and unique creativity of the Lord.

The Lord is, therefore, Holy and the Lord must be believed in, as Holy. To ascribe a son unto the Lord__ is a direct assault on the Lord’s Holiness__ which is an unpardonable crime.

Jesus is the son of God not God. Creation, Maintenance, and destruction have been going on since time immemorial. The problem is the human mind can not conceive of eternal. Because in this world there is always a beginning and an end. start in Genesis 1:1 - God created through the entire first chapter. at the beginning of the second chapter it reads "then the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
Genesis 2:1 - By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing, so on the seventh day He rested from all his work. and God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that he had done." Jesus was born many generations later and was a member of a family. He began preaching at the age of 13. He was always close to His father in heaven. throughout the gospels Jesus keeps saying he says what His father wants him to say.

the trinity is a polytheistic belief but Christians believe that they are monotheistic because they believe that these three people are three parts of one deity, which is NOT supported by the bible,

this belief was created by emperor Constantine, who was a pagan but converted to Christianity and wanted every other pagan too also, so he made the church start this dogma, it is not true the father the son and the holy spirit are three different beings, the son and the holy spirit are NOT to be worshiped.
Jesus is the SON and is not God himself.

That's one of those questions that go beyond our ability to know. I mean, it's like asking what has happened for all eternity past or what will happen trillions of years from now. I guess part of the answer lies in the fact that time is a part of God's creation. Personally, I'm glad that when I die I'll go to be with Jesus and perhaps find out what lies outside of the four dimensions that we are aware of.

John 20:19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

Luke 24:13 That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, 14 and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. 15 While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

17 And he said to them, "What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?" And they stood still, looking sad. 18 Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?" 19 And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. 21 But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. 22 Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, 23 and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. 24 Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."

25 And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?"

He was created, then instrumental in creating all other things.

Don't ponder on unnecessary things.
Not tellin' you what to do.
Just a friendly thought to you.

Jesus christ didn't create everything, his "father" did. But before Jesus was a leader so to speak he was a carpentor.
