Not much difference. Crock Pot is a brand name for a slow cooker, but there are others. Sometimes people will get hooked on a popular brand and use that to identify all similar products. For example, there are other brands of cola besides Coca-cola, or Pepsi-Cola, but all colas are called "cokes" or "Pepsi's" even if the brand is an off-brand. Same with Band Aid, there are many similar small bandages, but they're all called Band-Aids. Get it?

The terms slow cooker and crock pot are interchangeable terms that both mean the same thing.
