Even though she was a very accomplished artist in her own right she is better known as the wife of Jackson Pollock. If you haven't seen the film 'Pollock' you might want to rent it and watch it.

She also, after Pollock's death, set up the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (which is still operating) to aid promising artists with grants.
