I'm a Resident Alien (Green Card) and live in the U.S., I don't have any income. If my parent send me money every month, do I need to pay tax for the money?

My parents are in other country, they don't have a greencard.

If it's less than $10000 a year you can call it a gift and claim no tax.

No, you will only pay taxes on what you earn working for a living called income taxes. Of course you do already pay sales taxes.

No, I don't think so. Maybe if it is lots and lots of money... Just joking. Don't know 4 sure but if it is a gift pretty sure no.

you will need to file tax for it, and claim it as gift money.
