take it to the vet for a check-up, and then you can decide an approach

Try to keep the dog contained in one area and limit its movement. Make it lay down, if possible and give the leg time to recover. If it doesn't start to at least limp with the leg the next day, I'd call the vet's office. They might suggest that you give your dog baby aspirin or bring it in for examination. NEVER give a dog any other pain reliever but aspirin, as anything else could be deadly.

Depends on how they hurt it. If it is deep wounds or broken bones, I take the dog to a vet for proper treatment.
If it is mild scrapes, I put antibiotic ointment on the wound.
If it is a muscle cramp, I massage the area until the cramp is gone.

P.S. If you go into the horse section for ointment, I suggest Fura-zone. It works great, and has no side effects on humans & dogs.

Depends how bad it is.

if its a scrach or a small open wound then mix some salt and hotwater together or some bi-carb soda and just slowly dab it on and clean the wound so it prevents infections. If its a large wound or maby hurt a bone then take it to the vet straight away.

it kinda depends on what kind of hurt you're talking about. if it's a sprain, then keep it wrapped tightly and make sure he doesnt walk and put pressure on the leg. if it's broken and you're outdoors, keep it wrapped tightly with a stick as a temp. splint and get him to the vet or the closest vet asap.

but if it's like a bee sting on their leg, then get the stinger out with a pincher or something and wash the spot carefully and put medicine on it. if it swollens or conditions worses, then take him to the vet cause he MIGHT be allergic to bee stings.

in general, just keep him comfortable and make sure he doesnt put any weight on that leg
