Find something that makes noise, like a rattle. Shake it a bit, then hide it under a blanket whilst he is watching. When he hits the blanket, the toy will make noise, alluding to its location.

If the baby is a bit older, he might enjoy sitting on the floor across from you and rolling a ball back and forth.

Little people are so easily amused.

My son loves to be chased. All I have to do is look at him and say "I'm gonna get you" and he gets a big grin and crawls off. Then when I catch him I tickle and kiss him. Now he is even starting to chase me!! It is a lot of fun, and great exercise for him.

He also loves peek a boo. But I try to mix it up and play hide the toy at the same time.
We also play "Catch". I roll him the ball and he stops it. Now he is learning to roll it back.

Fill/dump the bucket is good. Take some small toys and put them in a container, let baby dump it out ( that is his favorite) then while he is watching you one by one put the toys back into the bucket. After each one clap and say "yeah" so he gets the idea. This will also help once he is a little older during clean up time.
I stack nesting cups or blocks up and he likes to knock them down.

Bubbles are a great toy for any age. Gymboree has a non toxic formula that doesn't stain or sting.

We turn on a children's CD and dance to it. Nice work out for me!!! I bounce him and twirl him around, He loves it. Also I name to him what we are doing. EX. Slide, swoop, bounce, twirl, shimmy ( he loves that word now)

peek a boo
get books with lots of pictures and "where's the...?"
if you have a boy my twins loved (and still do) to play "rough and tumbles" (wrestle around on the floor and have tickle fights)
hide and seek
read lots and lots of books together and make them interactive
sing ABC song and start counting games (mysons could count to twenty and recognozer all letters of alhpabet when they were 19 months)

Take some soft paper (like construction paper) and have the child tear it in to strips. It helps them with fine motor skills.

Peek A Boo, because it teaches the infant object permanence. You know, when they drop something, they think, out of site, out of existence. Peek a Boo teaches the child that even when they can't see something, it still exists.

My daughter loves playing with blocks and shapes. I hand her a shape and she puts it in the bucket. We also listen to music and dance. Its a lot of fun and she loves it to. It gives us a chance to bond.

you'll need two adults for this one.
play some music, get on all fours with your baby and start crawling. the second adult stops the music, you two stop crawling. my son absolutely adores this game. and it teaches him to be aware of his surroundings.
