Victoria, British Columbia on Canada's west coast.
We have lots of things to do here, lots of places for family activities, it is a rather smaller city and people here are very friendly. I have a 10 month old child and one more due in just under 2 weeks and I think it is a great place to raise a family.
Beacon Hill Park is a great way to spend a summer afternoon with the children as it has a GREAT playground and a petting zoo.
The inner harbour and Government Street offer a wide variety of buskers/street enertainment with lots of great shops, there are many outdoor flea markets on weekends.
If you are religious, there are many churches in Victoria for a wide variety of faiths.
The Dallas Road Waterfront and Ogden Point breakwater is a great stroll for afternoon walks. Whale watching is always a great activity for the family to enjoy.
You are able to take double decker bus tours of the city and the world famous Butchart Gardens which is a terrific tourist attraction.
One of the greatest parts of living on Vancouver Island is that the trip to get here is probably the most scenic and the best part of living here.
I hope this bit of information helps you in your decision.
Best of luck.

i appreciate Cozumel, besides the undeniable fact that the cruise deliver market has replaced it heavily. I loved Playa del Carmen to boot, besides the undeniable fact that that is rather touristy...nonetheless, that is extra interesting than Cancun. i'm a scuba diver, so i'm likely searching at diverse issues than you're. many times Cozumel has ironshore, yet there are some resorts with valuable sand seashores (imported i assume) and they have the water park it really is tremendous for days on the coastline, snorkeling, even swimming with dolphins. Cozumel replaced into out of how and easily divers went, besides the undeniable fact that the cruise ships replaced each and every thing. Playa del Carmen has stunning white sand beachs and a lot less currents. there is also a water park that that is ordinary to flow to for the day and journeys to the Mayan ruins. the price there is ver resembling American expenditures, besides the undeniable fact that the nutrients is tremendous and there are a good number of kitzy products on the marketplace. searching on your funds, i might want to also evaluate Belize. besides the undeniable fact that the diving there is not as solid, i don't believe of you may want to care. It has an off the overwhelmed course experience to it, a good number of serious nutrients, some tremendous seashores and some magnificent snorkeling if you're into that (Shark Ray Alley). yet another position you may evaluate is the Cayman Islands. they have a pretty coastline, the turtle farm, postcards from hell, and swimming with the stingrays. The water is warmth (80 ranges) and sparkling as champagne. It has an rather British experience to it.

The west coast of British Columbia. The weather is mild, one of the few areas of Canada that has decent weather all year around. & yet if you like skiing or other winter sports one can drive to Whistler from Vancouver in a few hours & do those things. The scenery is beautiful, lots of great parks. If you like outdoor sports this is a great place. Lots of hiking trails, you can go fishing, canoe or kayak, swim in the ocean, diving & lots more.
