There is NO right to return a car because you changed your mind.

I can not say this enough!!!

The 72 hours rule that everyone keeps talking about applies to in home sales. It does not apply when you go to a "normal place of business". It was designed to prevent people from being pressured into signing contracts just to get the salesman to leave their home. When you go to a place of business, you always have the option of walking out. You can not walk out of a sales situation in your own home.

When you take delivery of a vehicle, and drive it off the dealers lot, you own it!! The dealer is not required to take it back, and most likely will not. If he does, you will have to buy another vehicle from him, because he is not going to refund your money.

You say yourself that there is nothing wrong with the car. No lemon law applies to a car that is not a lemon!

go to autopedia.com.It lists laws for all 50 states. In Oregon, i know you have a set time to return a vehicle, but I can't remember if it's 3 days or 7. but it is possible, a lot of car dealers advertise a period of time to return if unsatisfied, and its always less than the mandatory amount of time the law requires, i assume in the hope that most consumers wont know the difference.

To my knowledge there is NO buyers remorse law in any state on any product.

I searched the new jersey state website, and didn't find anything.

Its my understanding that in any situation its "buyer beware". Most retailers offer a refund or return policy by choice, not law.

New Jersey has a unique lemon law. Possibly one of the toughest States in the US. Call consumer affairs or research on line. It is VERY likely you can get your money back.
