My girlfriend lives in LA. I live 100 miles away. Today is her birthday. She is going out for a birthday dinner with her friends that live in LA. I want to be with her on her birthday, but she says today is just for her friends and family and that I should not invite myself. One of the friends she is going out with tonight (who has a girlfriend) is male, so it is not just girls going out. She said she would come see me for the weekend and we would celebrate her birthday then. I feel strange that she does not want me around on her birthday today. Also, she never wants me to go out with her in LA. When she wants to see me, she comes to my town. Is it strange that she does not want me to be with her on her birthday, and that she considers it a time for her friends and family only? I have been dating her 3 years.

I do find that odd, unless this is a common thing for you guys. Which doesn't seem like. I would talk to her about it, I would mention the fact that it's not common, and if there's something she needs to say or do, this time should be the time to say it. I feel very unconfortable with her odd behavior, it seems liek there's something going on, that's not necessarily another guy, but maybe she wants to distance herself from the relationship.

yes thats weird and ****** up from her to not want to spend her birthday with you.why cant she bring you with her friends as well since there are no only girls going?my dear friend,it sounds like she is hiding you or is ashame of being with you around her friends.....or maybe she wants to see someone else.i would travel there and give her a surprise.if she gets happy and excited to see you, then it wasnt anything wrong, just another girl being confusing,if she gets mad or something, then maybe she's hiding something.
talk to her,she ows you a really good explanation.
good luck!

at first i thought that a night out with friends and family then a separate night with you sounded good but then you said the she never wants you out with her in her home town, huh? just don't like the sound of that. a little to much of her way or no way don't you think?

obviously you are not number one in her book. From the sounds of it, I would suspect that she is seeing someone else.
