Believe in what exactly? They have no choice but to believe what they are taught in the home until that information is tested. That is why children of all ages are always doing things that seem odd or ridiculous to adults. They are simply testing to see that the information is true or real. Some call it testing their limits; however, these children are simply putting the information or beliefs into action, usually because they are such firm believers of whatever facts adults provide them with. Once the information is confirmed, everyone can go on with the rest of their lives, if not, you've got the classic "bad" or "problem" child.

No, but they are innocent in the sense that they have no reasoning between right and wrong, they are under the age of accountability, and because of that that Lord will receive them with open arms if they die, same goes to many that are physically adults but might have been born mentally retarded.

No, when a person is born they do not automatically believe and have a free pass into heaven. As a babie grows and gets older you start teaching them about God and the bible and becouse everyones a sinner if you dont accept God as your savoir in your lifetime then you will not get into heaven. But thats why we accept Jesus into our hearts and read the bible and pray and live like christians

No...Here is what God's Word says...
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Babies are born sinners. They have not come to that realization but when they do, they need to seek Christ so that they can come to the Father.

No. We are born sinners and non-believers. We learn good. If a baby is baptized after it is born then he or she will go to heaven.

Good question, and that's one reason why I believe in infant baptism - God's covenant with his own, replacing circumcision, and marking them as being "in the family" -- rather than being a result of anything we earn (or think we earn) by a perceived ability to choose God.

No........ Like all mankind, babies are born with and retain original sin. At some time in their life they need to make decision for Jesus, or some other god even if that is the god of self.

If that were indeed true then wouldn't they all be born with the same beliefs? Religious beliefs are obviously a learned system.
