I'm 17, and I just had my first accident 2 days ago, I tried to change lanes and side swiped a minivan, however ... today, I got a speeding ticket... ( :( ) -

What's going to happen to my insurance rates? I have Allstate - I drive under my Dad, I don't want him to end up paying a **** load of money because of this ****. He has been with Allstate for about 15 years, what's going to happen?

Thanks.

if your at fault and the damage to the other partys veh is less than a grand the rates will stay the same.Your dad is probably paying higher rates now than he used to due to the fact that your on the policy, and only 17.usally how it works is if your involved in an accident, and not at fault your rates will stay the same even is damage is like 30 grand to fix your car.Now if your at fault and the damage to the other veh is anywhere from 1 dollar to 999 dollars your rates will stay the same.If it goes over 999 dollars they can go up as much as 40%.Hope this helps.

Probably what will happen is that the vehicle you driver (if you exclusively drive one vehicle) will have a higher rate due to the accident and the conviction if you plead or are found guilty of the speeding ticket. No one can tell you how much.

of course YOUR rates are going to go up, because if your old man has any sense, he's gonna remove you from his insurance.

why have you already had an accident and already gotten a speeding ticket? your dad ought to put a flame under your butt, and never let you drive again until you are at least 21.

it is not constantly like that, Farmers is without doubt one among the utmost insurance companies around...only like State Farm. insurance is going up in distinctive aspects through crime. if your community (zip code) has a intense fee, your insurance would be affected.
