I have heard that we all have "our time to go", and that is part of God's plan. I am very confused by this. We have free will, that God gave us, so that must be a factor. We can chose to live a healthy life, eat right, excercise, don't smoke, and that has an effect. Then we can die in a plane crash, or a random act of violence. I pray to God when a loved one is sick, for Him to heal them, for them to get better, so in the end, I do believe that God in in total control, I just don't understand Him at all.

Back up everyone and rethink this. Job 34:23 says it as clearly as possible:
"...He has NOT appointed a TIME for anyone to go before God in judgment."
Connecting this with Heb 9:27 we are left with this:
The APPOINTMENT is set, but NOT the TIME. Keep it simple.
