i was pretty much wandering. I was a frequent drug user, very much uncaring about most things, self absorbed and ultimately empty.
it is better now - twenty five years later, but I still have a ways to go

I was a fetus. I've heard about jesus as long as I can remember growing up, along with god, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, devils, various monsters, big foot, ghosts, maya (illusion), UFO's, astrology, fortune tellers, Tarot Cards, and more. I stopped believing in the tooth fairy about age 9 when I woke up and saw my mom putting money under my pillow, then the Easter Bunny next, I just got a clue, then Santa Claus, oh how sad, and about age 13 realized this whole god/jesus/Christianity thing was bunk. It took about until I was 18 when I read Nietzsche to realize that there is no supernatural, I don't have to worry about ghosts attacking me, or devils in my head, and I could finally relax and get on with my life.

I met Him at the very early age. I kind of lost him around 33. Since than I am lost. I would love to find Him back again. Would not mind if someone brainwashed me into anything, as long as He is involved.

The poor miserable sinner I have always been. I now know it and can confess that Jesus is my Messiah.
By the way you got it backwards. Jesus meets us. He meets us in His Word and Sacraments.

Before I accepted Jesus, I was living under the bondage of my sin and walking in darkness. Now I am free and living in the light.

i was a happy man who believed we were all alike in so many ways until I learned that only those who believed in Jesus would be saved, Then I met a Muslim who believed that we were all saved except for those who loved Allah. Then I met a Jew who believed we were all saved except those who did not believe in Yaweh. It's all an angry crock.

I don't remember a time when He was not in my life. I am thankful for the heritage and the tradition the Episcopal church has given me, and I wear a bracelet that says "wrapped in His love" to always remind myself (and others) that no one is ever truly alone, but Christ is always here for us to turn to.
