lately i've been interested in the air force. i want a career as a flight attendant. then, when i'm ready, i'd like to be a pilot. do you think the air force would be a good start? what can you tell me about the air force? any advice is greatly appreciated.

hey DW! yeah i get it. one of the main reason i want to be a flight attendant is to be in the sky. i wouldn't enjoy being hit on by drunk and or stupid passengers. but i would do it all for the chance to be up there. so you can judge and poke fun but at the end of the day my goals are just that. mine.

You don't join the military and just become a pilot. If you have yet to graduate from high school or have done really well with it you can get into the ROTC program and go to school then be commisioned as an officer. You could also enlist and then go to school while serving in another career--after you get your degree you can apply to officers training school. (OTS) There are several ways in which to get scholarships to become an officer either through enlistment or ROTC. Your best bet is contacting a recruiter.

If you want to be a pilot you have to go to college and have a degree. My son went into the Air Force right after college. He had been all over the world. He is having a GRAND time. In April he will be stationed in Italy.
The air force offers good pay, great benefits one month off a year, lots of travel.

flight attendant gives you no quals to be a pilot. Unless you have a degree you will not fly planes in the air force, you may work on them and such. Focus on what you need to be a pilot only, anything else is wasted effort.

if you wantto be a pilot you need to get a college degree then you have to be accpted into the training programfor pilots. flight attendant is not a thing that the a/f has. you might wanna try for the navy flight program. they have the best trained pilots and they get to travel more than the a/f does.
