We've been together for 4 years, and we had talked about a wedding, but from the time we started the actual planning until the wedding is about 5 months, we wanted to get married in October but that only gave us 3 months and it took longer than that to get my dress, so I'm glad we went with December

I started planning mine in Feb and got married in May of the same year..so only a few months. I got everything I needed to done and it made me do things quickly instead of putting it off. I'm glad I did it that way so I didn't have to worry about wedding planning for a year or two like a lot of my friends had done.

Well, we got engaged in September and are getting married Dec. 2. So actual wedding planning time, not too much. But, I guess when you consider we were friends in 1991, dated from 1995 to 2000, took forever to get close again, dated again for the last nine months and are just now getting married (with wedding attire I picked out in 2000) .... maybe it's technically more.

A year. We only planned on using half that time and wanted a small wedding. Well, we ended up having 150 guests. There goes the small wedding, but it was wonderful.

We had about 1 year to plan our wedding. The time went by fast though. But everything turned out perfect

I was engaged on July 15 of this year and we will be getting married on June 7, 2008; so, the grand total is around 23 months. It's a long time, but we're waiting until after I graduate from college.

I got engaged at thr end of August 2006 and will be marrying in January of 2007. I knew what I wanted from the begining but was having trouble making it happen. So in effect I am still planning 4 months later.

we planned ours in three weeks gave the family one weeks notice and did not tell them where the church was until the day of. We were already together at that point for 9 years and had a 4 year old, we did this so the families could not but in (different points of view on religion I am believe in earth based spirituality and he is christian) we were married in the United church by a lesbian minister and walked down the isle together to Arowsmith what a blast, never regretted any of it we pissed off both sides equally and did things our way that made us happy. But the average is 1 year of planning

Well he asked in November of 03'. We married in July of 04'. So you would think about 8 months but really we did the actual planning in about 3 months. We are procrastinators to say the least. Good Luck and Congrats!
