Help with Spanish translation (no online translators please)?

Question

I'm trying to translate the lyrics of this song "No me llames extranjero" by Alfredo Cortez. I'm having some trouble with this: "Míralos, se van al cielo por una risa paloma que los reune en el vuelo."

They go to the sky ...... which unites them on their flight.

What is "por una risa paloma" here? "by the laugh of a pigeon"? "for the laugh of a pigeon"? Please help me out.

The phrase is in the third to last stanza. I've seen it transcribed as both "por una risa" and "con una risa". Perhaps it is puncutated strangely and "paloma" starts a new sentence? Maybe the context will help...this is the only part I really don't get.

Dove that reunites them in flight. (or pigeon)

The dove is represented by the laughter of the children. The dove is a peace symbol.

In reality these phrases don't make too much sense, they are not well arranged, the name of the song is "Don't call me foreigner"
now, "Miralos" means look at them, "Se van al cielo por una risa" means "They going to heaven for a smile" now here is where don't make sense.. paloma que los reune en vuelo, "Pigeon that reunited them together in flight" so in fact "risa paloma" don't rime, and pigeons don't laugh, but I think I gave you some literal tranlation of your question, but remember most songs are written in a way that don't make too much sense, they just need to interface the music with the lirics..chao.. ☺

IT MAKES NO SENSE ...THERE MUST BE A MISTAKE ......MAYBE THE WORD IS NOT RISA.....PLEASE CHECK THE LYRICS AGAIN
