arijuana use is widespread, but it's important that you understand the implications of its use during lactation. As a general rule, you should abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and drugs (most prescription and over-the-counter medications, and all recreational kinds) during pregnancy and lactation. There are few published reports on the effects of marijuana on breastfed infants. Some studies suggest that one-time use of marijuana leaves only minute amounts of THC, the active component in marijuana. THC is fat-soluble, which means it builds up in the body with chronic use. After a breastfeeding mother uses marijuana, THC is evident in her baby's urine and stools (Perez-Reyes and Wall, 1982). Any secondhand smoke the baby is exposed to increases the amount of the drug he receives. And animal studies indicate that marijuana may suppress lactation. It stands to reason that an infant exposed to large quantities of secondhand smoke could become too lethargic to nurse. The combined effects of less breast milk and less suckling from the infant could further depress the mother's milk supply and create problems for the baby.

as a long time smoker for 20 years this seems really strange to me, the only time something like this could happen, is a mix of toxicology, a mixture of say heavy alcohol and pot maybe or prescription drug like vicoden, oxy, or zanax could cause this but there is nothing in pot that would cause this. Your friend shouldnt put anything into his body if not researched on its effects to his body, especially if he is mixing different substances. Remember the reason you lose the euphoric sense of any substance is caused by your body creating antibody to fight off the effects of foreign substances in the body. A chemical reaction that could be deadly if these antibody are counter acted by other substances

well if he was sitting and then stood up too fast he could have fallen backwards because he fainted because when you are intoxicated by marijuana your blood pressure is higher when you are sitting then when you are standing and standing up fast would cause a harmless sudden drop in blood pressure causing some people to faint
