In my life I have found that God does not play an important role. I do not go to church every sunday. I don't say my daily prayers. There is one thing however that I enjoy doing is studying the Bible and interpreting it, but I also feel like I am challenging my faith which does not bother me. I believe I am somewhat of an Atheist because I do not believe in God, but I believe there is something that happens when I die. I just choose not to worry about it. I feel that if I spent everyday of my life not thinking about going to hell I feel like a better person. I don't want to spend the rest of my life having nervous thoughts about going to Hell just because of something I did. So what is your opinion on God?

I find God in the pages of scripture, just like you are studying. You will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart. And when you know Him, you won't have to worry about hell because you are His forgiven child. God bless you!

First of all, I think God wants to play an important part in your life, you're just not letting Him in. You're obviously curious about the Bible and that's great. Reading it opens doors you didn't even know existed. I'm sure you do question some of the text. Maybe you need talk to someone that knows.
You should care about what happens when you die. Think of it this way...let's say you didn't believe in God and lived a sinful life, then found out at death that God is real. Where do you think you'll go? Then let's say you believe in God and live a life according to His word, and found out it was all a hoax. Wouldn't you be glad you lived good life and did the best you could while you were here?
Just a thought.

I have a friend who had everything going his way. He would laugh with sarcasm and said all the talk about God and the subject of God were craps. Suddenly he became a very devoted christain. Why? When the going was good, there was no God. Could he have gone through some bad spell? If you are one of those who believe in the BIG BANG as the beginning(creator) of life - you will have your explanation for everything - you will even believe that some big bang can even create such a beautiful person like you are. I don't believe an explosion or implosion have creative ability. You will come to the TRUTH that there really is God.

We live in God. He is like the soup that holds the whole universe together. You can become aware of His presence in many ways. One is through meditation. What is called centering prayer. Take a course or read a book or talk to someone like a monk or nun that knows how to do it.

The important thing is to be silent. Thomas Merton tells us that God is in all of the silences of the world. Go to a silent place, still your mind and just talk to him and listen to the stillness. He will come to you.

surely!!! It replaced into some thing extra formal, yet I used to communicate to Him despite the fact that the reason and because I saved forward to my very own ambition and desires, while He gave me avertisements I saved none and did my way going into further and extra trubles! Into an end, interior a deep depresion, He saved my existence (!!!) the very 2d I left away of all my deep desires... There, empty heart, i replaced into crammed with God's gentle and Peace and Love - an entire New existence, a sparkling physique, a sparkling imaginitive and prescient throughout the time of the final and the destiny :) :) :) sure, he's my Saviour!!!

Why not spend your everyday life looking forward to heaven?

The bottom line is that if you don't ask God to save your soul and engage in spiritual work cooperatively with your creator, then you will probably find yourself in eternal peril. So why not seek God and his will, and look forward to eternal salvation?

God isn't going to send you to hell for something bad you did. God may permit you to exist apart from him eternally if you choose not to enter into a relationship with him.

The choice is yours, obviously.

The only thing that can send someone to Hell is passing the free offer of Jesus' death and resurection in your place. He said He could be found if you look for Him. You find Him when you believe in Him so much it no longer occurs to you to doubt His existance.

My opinion is that he is everywhere. I feel better knowing I am trying to do the right thing. I have felt much better, and life has become easier for me in general.

When you read the words of Jesus, and He says something you disagree with, have you ever considered perhaps you were mistaken?
