The former strives to destroy the mind, the latter the body, of its opponents. The problem is that people can live with "destroyed" minds (as born-agains), but being dead can really be a problem. On the other hand, Christian fundamentalists are much more numerous, and they actually fight back just as hard.

The difference between fundamentalist Christians and Muslims is what they hold as fundamental.
As a Christian I hold as fundamental that I love God and others. As Muslim fundamentalists, people seem to want to kill unbelievers.
As for those Christian fundamentalists who get a bit obsessed about politics (this coming from someone doing it at Uni) and preaching hate against pro abortion and gay people they are not being true to the fundamentals of the Christian faith.

In fact the anti abortion/gay Christians are disobeying Jesus in that he told us not to judge or to be hypocritical- we're all sinners. We've got to encourage people to face the fact that they're sinners but then point them to the Saviour that we've trusted in- we're no better or worse than anyone else.

Thank you for pointing this out. I've just been reading a book called 'with god on our side' and it shows just why there are so many conflicts, including the 'war against terror' being fought in the world today. I believe that all religions and ideologies have their extremist members, be it the Alquieda members for Islam, the Neocons for Christianity, and the Zionists for Judaism. They are all battling it out at our expense! I think its going to take the many many good and moderate people to reign in these people. The extremists arnt going to beat the extremists.

Here's the deal. The Muslim extremists strap bombs to their bodies and blow themselves up in the middle of cafes. All Christian fundamentalists do is go to people's doors and preach the gospel. If Britain can't distinguish between a Christian fundamentalist and Muslim extremist, then good luck living under the future Muslim Caliphate.

Basically the Christian will lay down his llife to save you and the muslim will kill for god, both end up dead, but the christian gets to heaven.
Fundamentalism in islam is extremeism, the Koran seems to be a homogenous text book on how to live, the Bible has the Core bit about Christ and his words and acts just 4 Chapters sandwiched between the Jewish Old testaments and tales of what the lads did after Jesus died.
Christian Fundametalism should be about peace, equality, love thy neighbour as thy self, Greater love has no man that he lays down his life to save his brother, and all christians were known as brothers, etc
Muslim Fundamentalism is about young lads lied to by evil elders and persuaded to attack and kill and die themselves, but it is the extreme result of following a distorted interpretation of Islamic doctrine.

Surely the answer is obvious - an extremist is prepared to become a martyr and die and kill as many innocent people as possible for his faith. Surely anyone else who would do the same is still called an extremist?

If Christian fundamentalists are as bad as the Islamic bombers, then why aren't you taking the next plane out of town, fleeing in abject terror? There must be at least a church on every block of your city, but you sit there, in the comfort of your own cozy surroundings, and say within your own conceit that you find no difference between them? Let's face it, there is no danger from the fundamentalists, unless, of course, the hospitals they create are another danger to yourself!

As of today I know of very few Christian fundamentalists that train their youth to go out and kill themselves and others. I don't always agree with the fundamentalists proposals in the govn't, it's really not religon's place in there, but they're not killing anyone. Extremists propagate the people of Middle Eastern countries to hate Christians and Jews (especially Jews). They have torn down separation of Church (I guess Mosque) and State to force their views on others.

there is always an exception, the difference is the bible for christians and koran for muslim. But the result will tell you who is right and who practice wrong. Like Father like son. The fruit is not different of what kind of tree is that. So who is your father?

Devil or God?
