What has changed in your life around the time this all began? Are you just coming into puberty? If so, your hormones are making changes to your body that could affect you. Are you under extra stress at school or at home? This is a big factor in sleep disturbance. When you wake, is there something on your mind? Try to remember when you wake up what your last thought was or if you were dreaming about something specific.
Do you drink water, instead of sodas? You might have the beginning of some kidney problems. Try eating healthy, drink lots of water, no caffiene, no sodas. Have you been on antibiotics this year? Those can screw up your gut and you may need to readjust that by eating a good amount of yogurt (with no fruit or any junk in it). If that doesn't work, try probiotics (you can get these at the health food stores).
If all that fails, seek out a Sleep Disorder Center in your area. And yes, loss of sleep for an extended period of time can really mess with your mental and physical health, so do something soon. Good luck and sweet dreams.

When you sit down to watch tv or do anything that is supposed to be relaxing, do you move and shift around a lot? You might not even notice, but somebody next to you may notice that you can't stay still long enough. You might have restless leg syndrome. It can wake you up many times at night. You may need to see a doctor to get that fixed.
Also pot, medicine, and other drugs (even nightquill, and sleep aids) can screw with your natural clock. If you can't sleep and it's 3-4 oclock in the morning. At that point It's always best to stay awake until your actual sleeping time. .
Some sleeping aids that are reallly nice are those travel neck pillows. Every way you turn your neck is being supported.
Plus....do you drink coke with your dinner? Coke can make you stay awake for a really long time.

Comfy bed, healthy diet and exercise, clear and good concience, don't eat or drink anything close to bedtime, try earplugs and a eye mask. What greatly helped me years ago was something quite simple. I was so worried about being late or not getting up in time I constantly was waking up to check the clock then I started setting two alarm clocks and sleep like a baby. Funny thing is, now I always wake up 5 minutes before either one goes off.... Good luck!

besides all that, if reguler methods such as relaxation techniques, homopathic(the lavander), and not ingesting stimulants(no soda after dinner buddy) this may be an issue to bring to your family doctor. It is hard to say what maybe the cause, but if it truely is a problem, the doctor should be able to help you to resolve your insomnia.

you could get sleeping tablets off your doc but one thing that is realy good is dripping lavender oil on your pillow its a natural relaxent also try goin for a 15 min in any direction then try gettin back home in exactly 15 mins too then go to bed along with the lavender oil it should help

do you drink alot of caffeine? or eat chocolate? those are two things that can keep you up. So I would stop all pop, chocolate or anything else that contains caffeine a couple of hours before I went to bed. Maybe try warm milk. good luck.

I read somewhere that taking a cool shower before bedtime helps you fall asleep faster. It makes you want to snuggle under the cover to get warm. It's a thought.

Tylenol PM. Gets you to sleep, you sleep through the night and wake up feeling fine, not drowsy. Try it, it seriously works great. I use it when I really need help sleeping. :-)
