if the slat is not bent to the point of nearly breaking, you can straighten it out by using a hair dryer on medium heat. Heat the plastic and use your finger to rub the bend out. You might consider wearing gloves, but it might be require enough heat to burn you. It is trial and error.

If your blinds are a little too long for the window you can carefully pop out the caps on the bottom rail and veeeerrrry carefully pull the guide string up to the right length for your window and remove some good ones from the bottom . Then extra carefullly pull the string up the "ladders" until you can take off the bad ones. Hopefully you will have enough extra good ones to do the job. Next carefully rethread down to the bottom and tuck your strings into the cap hole and recap.

Not uncommon in the outback, where they are hard to get.
Generally one technique and variations is workable. Take the
general cloth for ironing that protects delicate pieces like nylon,
and iron the pieces on a covered board like picnic table.
Using a papertowel for a test, heat the piece to use of iron
with handle, like a steak knife sharpener, to just enough heat
to pierce the paper. About 150 degrees. Iron only with protect
cloth in place.
