Well, If he can be honest with you that is always good, but if he can't resist the temptation of flirting, that might not be good. Just tell him how you feel, and if he tells you he flirted with more test his trust worthiness, and if you can't trust him, loose him, if you can, KEEP HIM! I hope it works out!

I think you are on the right track at the moment. It's always hard to trust someone at the risk of getting hurt. You should stay on this friendly road until he decides to take a step forward in the relationship. If he decides that he really likes you as well, and he wants the relationship to progress, then he will find a way to tell you how he feels :) In the meantime, don't be afraid to be open with him! If he is really shy and has a hard time expressing his feelings, then it would be a good idea to give him a hint that you are interested... but you should remind him of your worries about the relationship as someone who has never been in one before. Taking it slow, as you are, is a great idea to make sure that you really want a relationship with him. Becoming good friends with someone can tell you whether or not a relationship with this person would work for you. As for the age difference, its really not a big deal. :) Thanks for taking the time to listen to my response! :) I hope everything works out!

i think u shouldn't give it much thought...if your boyfriend was doing anything serious and he didn't care about u, he would not have admitted to flirting. besides flirting is nothing serious, many people just flirt for fun. Also before you do anything tell Ur bf how you feel, if he calls u crazy and tells you that u are over-reacting, then most likely he is doing more than just flirting.
Good Luck, Hope you solve Ur problem =]

I don't think it's an issue. I'm happily married. I still flirt with guys. It's fun and I'd never cheat on my husband. He knows this. I'm sure he flirts with other girls. If he doesn't well, he's missing out. I guess I'm just not the insecure type. I'm not the jealous type either. Hmmm, maybe I'm the not caring type? Excuse me, I need to go examine my thoughts.

Most everyone answering your question has chorused "dump him". You bet yah! Flirting can lead to affairs and you'll always be wondering who your boyfriend is flirting with. I don't think you want to go through a constant emotional roller coaster with that in mind. Your boyfriend wants his cake and eat it too! It's going to be tough to dump him and I hope you have your friends to support you.

Drop him like it's hot. He shouldn't be flirting with anyone but you. What did he think he was doing? And why are you putting up with this? Is he really worth it? He's way beneath you, hon.

He is trying to get you solidly under his hand.. for taht reason he told you that and you fell for it.. What you should have said was.. Oh, that is nice and that you also had a couple of dates.. Do not let him think that he is the ONLY guy in town

Some people like to flirt, and it is part of their personality. You can either accept it, or break up.
