It depends on where you heard it. It could be what the other person said with the whole baby-making thing, or, and this is probably more likely if you heard it from an older person, its a quote from some religious person meaning something like "Me and you and God" or something. Another one that I've heard is "Me plus you makes five" for "Me + You + God the Father + God the Son + God the Spirit". I suppose it could also be a reference to "being with you makes Mr. Happy happy to see you!" if you catch my drift. It's up to you to decide which one you think it is, though. Human nature drives us to find multiple meanings for the same meaningless streams of sound or thought that pop out of our heads. If we could all just communicate without words we wouldn't have any of this confusing backdrop to deal with :D Hope this helped, Hawk

I don't know this quote but my best guess is that no matter how prepared you are or how hard you go looking for it and even if you try to make someone love you love can only be given not taken. It can be received but but only if the other party gives it willingly is it real!

The correct quote is:

One can beg, buy, be PRESENTED with and find love in the streets, but it can never be stolen.

To me, it has always meant that love is all around you. It can and will fall in your lap. But you cannot just take it from someone. It must be given freely.

buying love is like stealing it.

the purest form is one that you did not buy, or begged for, is completely unaware and has reciprocated.

you can beg someone to love you
you can pay someone to love you
you can seek love and be ready for love
you can find love in the streets or anyplace

but you can not steal someones' love.

You can't steal love, because it isn't love unless its given away.

love has to be earned. it doesn't come without a price. so if you want to be loved, you have to show love to others. same thing as treat others the way you want to be treated.
