Let's say i started some chit chat with a classmate of mine, I'm asking her questions about a assignment, her taste of music ,what she listens to, etc. But she never asked me back about myself but maintains strong eye contact throughout the conversation. Would you consider this rejection? Why do some of you girls have to be so hard to communicate with? Are girls like this worth my time?

It could be that it is her way of communicating with people. You did say she maintained strong eye contact right? If a girl rejects you or don't want to talk to you, she would not even have any form of eye contact.. Try to get to know her more.. Maybe she isn't that confortable with you yet..

Is she worth your time? Let's put it this way.. If you really want a girl, then you would definitely continue to pursue her until she's the one who said no.. Another this.. Not all girls are hard to communicate..

Good luck =)

First question. Would I consider this rejection? No. People in nature are self-centered (Read Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influcence people). She's into herself. But so are you. So is everyone. And why do girls have to be hard to communicate with? Because there girls, get used to it. Are girls worth your time? That's up to you. Do you want someone in your life?

It can be really hard, I know. Girls are confusing. But awesome. Get to know her. I don't think I would automatically count her as a rude, or inconsiderate person just because she didn't ask about you. She probably didn't even mean it bad. People just talk about themselves. And music is SUCH a big topic in some people's lives.. hell, it IS some people's lives. She is exited about her music, and it sounds like you are too, since you wanted to be asked about it.

The key to really making someone like you is ASK THEM ABOUT THEMSELVES. It's the only way, bro.

Good luck to you.. and PLEASE don't give up on girls. You will find the right one someday. I have mine, and there is someone out there for everyone.

You have no idea how bad the last guy she was involved with broke her heart. If he was great at treating her like dirt, then she is going to be leery of anyone that reminds her of him and less likely to jump in. Life sucks for the next guy in line who gets all the baggage an animosity left over from the previous emotional tragedy.

The eye contact and silence speaks volumes. She may be quiet but her brain is working overtime. She could be trying to figure out what you ulterior motives are. She could be thinking that you are moving to fast. She could have a boy friend you don't know about. Regardless, she built up a lot of walls to protect herself and tearing them down is not going to be a short project.

woah, ummm am I that girl? No, this exact EXACT! same thing was going on with me and this guy last year. He always ALWAYS talked to me, like how you did...and there was always strong eye contact with between us. I liked him, and I thought that maybe he liked me too, but I think I kind o f came off as rejecting him just because I didn't have much to say. He'd be like "whats up Kate?!" and I was just like "umm nothing" I really liked him though, I was just being shy.

Girls like this are worth it! Just come out and tell her though. I wasn't sure if he liked me, or if he was just being a weirdo always talking to me. I guess I was just an idiot though, because he was always like "your so cool" and I didn't really take the hint.

Just be direct. ask her to hang out with you or something, better yet just call her. Get her number from someone and call her. Sit by her at lunch and really let her know what you think. Chances are she likes you, but is a little shy.

If she is maintaining a strong eye contact with you she is listening to you...But because she is not telling you about herself that doesn't mean necessarily rejection it might mean that she just not ready to open herself up quite yet...So just be patient and keep talking to her eventually she will open up and tell you about herself in her own time...

Nope. She's not worth it. A girl that's interested in you should be INTO talking to you. Asking questions about you.

Well, it seems like she wasn't interested, or she just thought that u were being friendly. Some girls can't take hints like that. I kno I can't. I wouldn't take it as a rejection, unless she says something.

Maybe she's just shy and she feels more comfortable with just answering your questions right now, maybe she'll become more comfortable with you later on and start asking about your interests and what not, it's not fair to just assume that she's a ***** cuz she doesn't ask about you...

she's probably just shy. or just a very self-centered diva type, in which case, she's probably not worth your time. self-centered diva types get annoying very quickly.
or she could just be forgetting to ask you back. sometimes when people go into interview mode like you did, it's just feeling like he's gonna come out with more questions, so, i'll just wait for it.
