Has anyone ever experienced a ghost visit from a family member that died, especially recently after the death?

My mother was killed in a car accident.She died on impact.The night before her funeral, I was sleeping at my Dad's house,and I was awakened in the middle of the night by a very bright light against my closed eyelids.I opened my eyes & saw two globe shaped balls of light hovering unevenly over me. It lasted for a few seconds. They took off as though they were traveling in a 3-dimensional way, as something you might see on TV, then disappeared.I know it was not a reflection of light from outside because my father had boarded up the bedroom window because of an air-conditioner he had installed.The bedroom door was also shut so there could have been source of light like this from inside the house.I thought she must be traveling with a guide. The night of her funeral, I felt her presence behind me.It felt like great love and compassion for my suffering.I felt her rub my back. When I spoke of this to others who were in the room, she disappeared.I do believe in God & heaven. What do u think?

I am sorry to hear she pass away! Your Mother felt your compassion, I either see or feel the presences of Ghost and Spirits, and my Spirit guide. At one time of my life everything that died around me came back, my dog, my mother in-law, neighbor's son, the woman that lived in and died just before I bought the house, I brought home a bunch of stones from the woods to do some work, and brought home a grave stone by accident, he too came and visit me. I collided with a ghost in a Hospital that I work at, face to face. The last two were Spirits either from heaven and or one my Spirit guide, and perhaps the other my sons Spirit guide, one a man, and a woman, she spoke out loud to me, very beautiful voice, they were completely white and glowed, she would wake me up mostly to do with my four year old son, and the man woke me up once that I know about, I was seeing or feeling her presence, my son was seing him mostly, this went on for about seven months, she was very kind, touching very nicely.
I know a woman at work, she told me her son died two years ago and her husban about 8 months ago, they both came back at different times and said the same thing, that they are OK and in a good place.
From my experience is your mother loves you, and wants you to know that she's OK, and perhaps she would like to show herself, but she knows that perhaps you may get scare, and she doesn't want to scare you. Usually when I see them Ghost or Spirits, they seem to be surprised when I can see them and I can feel what they are thinking at times. I even felt God's presence once and felt what he said to me in my head.
Usually these Spirits can either hear your prayers or God sents them to help. They came when I prayed for protection for me, my son and his mother. And my friend at work said the same thing, her son and husband came after death when her prayers were compassionate and of concerning, heart felt.

You might what to read the book "Life After Life". It was published sometime in the 1980's.

When my mother died I was asleep. I dreamed that a cloud of thick smoke was over me the whole length of my body. I woke up and the though came into my mind that my mother had just died. I waited for the phone to ring. They called an hour later.

I told a priest about this and he told me to read this book. And it tells of this very type of experience.

I've never seen a ghost, but have been visited many times in dreams by those that have passed. People have after death encounters with those that have passed all the time, but most people discount them and do not believe it was possible or it was wishful thinking. This after death communication can take many forms. Your mother was there to comfort you...you should feel lucky that you recognized it and were comforted.....

Yes,my Dad died of a heart attack suddenly and I think for a while he didn't know what to do or where to go.I had a few strange occurances and visits,then it was as if he figured it out.Then it all stopped.I believe you .Don't let people tell you there's no ghosts,I've experienced one that I saw and two(including Pop) that have moved things etc.

Your mind can play tricks on you when you are in times of exteme stress. I once had a similar experience after my grandfather died. After consulting with several people I came to the conclusion that it was nothing more than a fluke of my own thoughts and dreams.

i've never had anything like that happen to me due to death of a loved one (i have had some odd experiences though due to dis belief). I haven't really had any tragic deaths though. anyway, i'm glad you had that experience (feeling your mother's presence must have been great). God bless! Luv, Val

When I used to live with my mom a couple years ago, my sister and I always felt the presence of her mother(our grandmother). I can't really explain how we knew it was her, we just did.

I have experienced this, but I was a lot younger. My grandmother had just recently died and my cousin and I spent the whole night talking to her. When we told our parents about it...they freaked out.

When my boyfriend was killed in a car accident a couple years ago he watched over me for quite a while. He would talk to me - he told me he was fine, he was free and he was glad it was him and not me. He would laugh and coach me in doing things by myself.

Sometimes i can still feel him around. I know he is still looking out and protecting me.
